The United States of America offers a multiple-entry 10-year tourist visa to Indian travellers, allowing them to stay in the country for up to 6 months at a time. The visa process involves the traveller giving their biometrics at one of the 5 designated Visa Application Centers, followed by an in-person interview at one of the 5 Embassies/Consulates located in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
You are required to carry the appointment confirmation and DS-160 confirmation to your appointment. Other than this, the US Embassy does not ask for any documents to be carried to the biometric and interview appointment for tourist (B1/B2) visas; however, it is recommended to carry your 6-month bank statements, your latest ITR, and your passport.
US Visa Process:
- Step 1: Fill out the DS-160 form
- Step 2: Pay the US Visa fee
- Step 3: Schedule an appointment for biometric submission and interview
- Step 4: Submit biometrics at the selected VAC
- Step 5: Attend the interview at the selected Embassy/Consulate
