The US B1/B2 (tourism and business) visa is valid for 10 years. This is a multiple-entry visa that allows the traveller to visit the country for up to 6 months at a time.

The US visa costs $185 per person. If you want to get the passport delivered to your home or pick up from a premium location, you will be charged another Rs. 1200 per person by VFS at the time of pickup.

You cannot change your existing DS-160 however, if there are any changes to be made in the DS-160, here is what you can do:

• Fill out a new DS-160

• They will update your application with the new DS-160

You may qualify for an interview waiver if you are renewing a visa in the same category and the previous visa expired within the last 12 months. For example, if your previous B1/B2 visa expired on 31 March 2025, you can get a new B1/B2 visa without the need for an in-person interview if you apply on or before 31 March 2026.

Note: You may be asked to attend the embassy during renewal as per the discretion of the visa officer.

If your visa is about to expire or has expired in the last 12 months, and you are applying for the visa in the same category, you can renew your visa using the Dropbox facility offered by the US Embassy.
